Keep your distance from an active nest. Share its location and a photo taken from a safe distance so access can be discussed.
Do not disturb the nest
Avoid blocking an active entrance, striking the nest or attempting to reach it with a ladder. Keep children and pets away from the area.
A nest in a wall void, roofline or ground opening needs a different assessment from an exposed nest. Nest height and access affect the scope of work.
Identification comes first
Not every flying insect is a wasp. If you are unsure what you are seeing, a clear photograph can help with identification. Honey bee concerns may need a different response.
Before booking
Tell us whether the nest is near an entrance or busy walkway and whether anyone on site has a known sting allergy. Appointment availability must be confirmed. For a severe allergic reaction, seek emergency medical help immediately.
